Carolyn Tillinger

Carolyn is a Washington native who graduated from the University of Washington in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Community, Environment, and Planning and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Terrestrial Resource Management. After graduating, she began her career with Teach For America in Tulsa, Oklahoma teaching 3rd grade, and then pre-school back in Seattle. After a couple years of teaching, she decided it was time for a career change.

In 2019 Carolyn began working with GMD Development, an affordable housing developer based in Seattle. Starting as an Administrative Assistant, she was eager to learn more and quickly became involved in the development projects. Carolyn is now the Project Coordinator at GMD and works with the development team on LIHTC applications, project operations, and marketing.

Carolyn passions lie in sustainable real estate development and affordable housing. When she’s not in class or at work, Carolyn loves to play board games, climb, hike, and watercolor.
