Ryan Lazarus

Ryan Lazarus joins the MSRE program at the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Texas. His undergraduate studies helped build a strong foundation in understanding how people think, make decisions, and interact with the spaces around them. This perspective sparked an interest in the factors behind the shared spaces in a city.

Still new to the field, Ryan is exploring concentrations across corporate real estate, asset management, and development. Living in downtown Seattle, he has a front-row seat to a dense, ever-changing urban core. Ryan hopes to apply what he learns to projects that contribute to the long-term growth and sustainability of Seattle and the greater Pacific Northwest, and is eager to build relationships with professionals industry-wide, learning all he can from those with firsthand experience.

Outside of class, he enjoys traveling and attending live sporting events. Whether exploring locally or elsewhere, he is drawn to how different cities design and use their public spaces. Ryan looks forward to collaborating with faculty and his cohort while preparing for a career in the real estate industry.
