As President and Chief Operating Officer of Metzler Real Estate, Stuart is responsible for the firm’s U.S. real estate platform, long‑term strategy, institutional client relationships, and operations. In Stuart’s 15 years of experience at Metzler, the real estate portfolio has grown to $5.35 billion in U.S. assets under management. Stuart serves as a trusted partner to global and domestic institutional investors, providing disciplined oversight and performance through all phases of the real estate investment lifecycle.
Prior to joining Metzler in 2011, Stuart originated small balance commercial real estate mortgages in the Pacific Northwest and Chicago for Countrywide Commercial and Washington Mutual.
He has served in several local and national leadership and forum roles with NAIOP.
Stuart earned a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of Washington’s Runstad Department of Real Estate in 2011 as part of its inaugural class, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Washington in 2006.
Outside of work, Stuart enjoys skiing, golf, traveling and coaching his two children in soccer.
