The authors provide practical information on feasibility analysis, design and construction, financing, marketing, and management as they also incorporate tips and advice from more than 200 industry leaders who share their experience on how to avoid mistakes. There are photos, diagrams, spreadsheets, and actual project case studies providing the reader a detailed analysis of the development. Information is specific and detailed, with costs, rents, and financing information included by product type.

The authors emphasize innovation and new technologies, from the assembly and management of a project team to design, finance, marketing/management strategies and the reconciliation of the project vision with community engagement.
