Local to Seattle, Amanda is thrilled to be attending the University of Washington. Amanda has a combination of strengths that are highlighted in her diverse background. She attended Eastern Washington University, obtaining a communication studies and criminal justice degree. During undergraduate studies, Amanda was her sorority’s finance and operations chair. Post-graduation, she explored the legal field as a paralegal and a CASA for family court while traveling and working full-time as a flight attendant. Also, at this time, Amanda was selected to participate in a company management program addressing persistent company pain points. Amanda and colleagues collected metrics to find solutions to reoccurring company issues.
During the pandemic, Amanda took leave to pursue work in the real estate industry through a family-owned private equity and value add firm. She had roles in property sourcing, operational management, and sales and acquisition.
Amanda enjoys being in an academic setting and has consistently flourished in new environments and when experiencing challenges, which she sees as opportunities. The MSRE program will provide a solid foundation of real estate knowledge and expand her network to ensure a long real estate career ahead. In her free time, Amanda enjoys reading a good thriller, running, binge-watching cooking competition shows (especially during the holiday season), gardening, and traveling.
