Ed McGovern

Mr. McGovern has over 19 years of finance and real estate experience involving commercial real estate development and capital markets.  Over the course of his career, he has been involved with sales, capitalization, or development of multifamily, office, retail, homebuilder and hotel transactions nationally in excess of $2 billion. Prior to joining Security Properties in 2009, Mr. McGovern was a senior development executive with Schnitzer West, where he was responsible for the development and leasing of over two million square feet of commercial real estate in the Seattle and Portland markets.

Mr. McGovern holds a Bachelor’s of Science in History from the U.S. Naval Academy, an MBA from Columbia University, and a Certificate in Construction Management from the University of Washington. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor in the University of Washington’s postgraduate Runstad Department of Real Estate.
