Born and raised in Peru, Gina Ortega holds a bachelor’s in Architecture and Urbanism with the highest honors. Currently, she is pursuing dual master’s degrees in Real Estate (MSRE) and Construction Management (MSCM). With over nine years as a licensed architect in Peru, she combines technical, managerial, and community-oriented skills, making her a versatile professional in architecture, construction, cadastre, and real estate development. Her work includes collaborating with Quechua and Aymara communities on culturally sensitive projects. Gina has overseen multifamily housing projects, including a recent one in Tacna, Peru, which inspired her advanced studies in real estate. She has led and promoted municipal and cadastral modernization projects as a Project Manager, Municipal Director, and Trimble’s Consultant, securing a grant from the Organization of American States (OAS). As a Director of Urban Planning, Urban Development, and Cadaster, she led projects and established cadastral departments that significantly improved tax revenue and land administration.
Outside of work and school, Gina enjoys spending time with her family, attending Mass on
Sundays, and swimming.
