Jacob Pavlik is the Economic Development Manager at Greater Seattle Partners, where he champions the region’s story of economic prosperity to encourage business attraction and foreign direct investment. With a career crossing from the public to private sector, Jacob has a unique perspective on the regional ecosystem. Most recently he was the Pacific Northwest Research Manager at Colliers, where he worked with 70 brokers to contextualize real estate economics and provide accessible market analysis. Previous experience in local government urban planning on the East and West Coasts fuels his commitment to equitable economic growth and understanding that good things take time to develop. In the classroom, Jacob aims to equip students with practical analytical skills and a thorough understanding of real estate data.
Originally from Hillsboro, Oregon, Jacob earned his Bachelor of Arts in Geography, magna cum laude, from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He later completed a Master of Real Estate Development at Portland State University while working full-time in the commercial real estate industry. In recognition of his professional accomplishments and leadership, Jacob was named one of the Portland Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 in 2021. Living in Seattle since 2022, Jacob treasures his walks around Lake Union, runs up Queen Anne, baking chiffon cakes, and reading history books. He lives in Uptown with his fiancé.
