Mari Sorenson

Mari Sorenson is an experienced real estate professional with a primary focus on valuation and advisory. She is currently a Principal Program Manager within Microsoft’s Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) group, supporting land acquisition for data center development across the globe.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Mari worked for 15 years as a commercial real estate appraiser, performing valuation analysis on all asset types including retail, office, industrial, multifamily, development land, and special purpose facilities. Appraisal and consulting work has included new and proposed construction, assemblage value, condominium sell-off, market rent arbitration, leasehold analysis, buy/sell evaluation, feasibility analysis, ground rent negotiation, litigation advisory, peer review, eminent domain appraisal, and expert witness testimony.

Mari holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the State of Washington. She graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication & Social Influence. Apart from her undergraduate years, she is a lifelong resident of the Seattle area.
