Nicholas King serves as President and Partner of Lockton Companies’ Washington operations, where he leads the strategic oversight, growth, and continued expansion of the firm’s presence in the Pacific Northwest. In this role, he is responsible for advancing client relationships, developing high-performing teams, and driving market leadership across Lockton’s Washington and Pacific Northwest business. Nicholas was Lockton’s initial hire in the Northwest and has since built the firm’s revenues to $45M and a team of 130 employees.
Lockton is the world’s largest privately held insurance brokerage firm, with more than 60 offices across the United States and annual revenues exceeding $4.5 billion. Nicholas plays a key role in aligning the firm’s national capabilities with the unique needs of clients in the Seattle and broader Washington marketplace.
A Seattle native, Nicholas, brings a deep understanding of the local business and real estate landscape. He is actively engaged in the community and contributes his leadership to several nonprofit and professional organizations. Nicholas currently serves on boards and committees supporting youth development, healthcare access, and public safety initiatives.
Nicholas is deeply engaged across a broad network of civic, professional, and personal organizations that reflect his commitment to leadership, community impact, and industry advancement. He is actively involved with the Northwest Forum as both a member and board participant, and maintains strong ties within Seattle’s business community through organizations such as the Seattle Golf Club and Seattle Tennis Club. Professionally, he contributes to the advancement of the real estate industry through his involvement with the Fisher Center for Real Estate Policy Advisory Board, the Pacific Real Estate Institute, and the Urban Land Institute’s Sponsorship Committee, as well as membership within YPO Seattle Chapter. Nicholas also dedicates significant time to nonprofit leadership, serving on the Boards of Boys & Girls Clubs of King County, Sea Mar Community Health Centers, and the Seattle Police Foundation, where he has held leadership roles on executive committees and as Board Development Chair.
Nicholas attended the University of Washington – Michael G. Foster School of Business School and lives in Seattle with his wife and two children.
