Born and raised in Taiwan, Richard developed a lasting interest in the United States through close family ties in Texas. Drawn to Seattle’s culture and active real estate market, he chose the University of Washington’s MSRE program to strengthen his skills in financial analysis, property valuation, and development planning. Richard earned a bachelor’s degree in Land Economics from National Chengchi University, where he focused on valuation and urban planning.
After graduation, he spent two years working in Deloitte Taiwan’s Valuation & Modeling department, where he reviewed valuation reports for major life insurers’ investment properties and took part in projects such as coordinating an international office relocation and handling the sale process for non-performing loan portfolios. These experiences built a strong base for a career in commercial real estate.
Outside of work and class, Richard enjoys exploring airline miles, hotel loyalty programs, and credit-card rewards, with the goal of using those points to achieve his dream of traveling around the world.
