Serena Sayani

Serena Sayani is a shareholder at Stokes Lawrence, P.S. in the real estate and business transaction practice group.  Serena’s commercial real estate practice focuses on acquisitions, dispositions, development, construction and leasing. She has structured complex real estate transactions for office, hotel, retail, multifamily and industrial projects across the United States. Her clients include real estate investment trusts, public and private pension plans, tax-exempt investors, developers, and other businesses. She also has substantial experience in the negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, office and retail leases, and fund formation and joint venture documents.  In addition, she provides counsel to clients in multimillion-dollar development and construction transactions involving drafting and negotiating development, design, construction and other related agreements.  Some of her work includes representation of an equity sponsor, developer, contractor and architect in a $75.5M joint venture partnership and development, and $45M construction loan, of multi-family opportunity zone project in Washington, representation of the seller on the disposition of a $230M office building in Colorado and representation of a landlord on a lease of 285,000-sf office building to national credit tenant in Denver.

Outside of her practice, Serena is a Founding Member and Board Member for WOC Together. She served as the District 7-South Governor for the Board of Governors of the Washington State Bar Association and a member of the WSBA Diversity Committee. She was also a past Board Member for Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), the co-chair of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee for NAIOP Washington and the co-chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee of Stokes Lawrence, P.S.

Recently, Serena was honored with the Best Lawyers in America – Real Estate Law (2022 and 2023), Up and-Coming CRE Attorney Award by the Puget Sound Business Journal (2019) and the Rising Rock Star Award by CREW/Elevate.
