Udit Kumar

I was born and raised in Bangalore, India. I have completed by bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with over 4 years of construction management experience. After my bachelor’s program I worked at CBRE South Asia Pvt Ltd under the Project management division and was part of some of the iconic commercial projects in Bangalore including google headquarters and amazon warehouse This journey ignited in me a profound desire to extend my knowledge in real estate finance, land acquisitions, and town planning, vital for establishing a successful real estate career.

In pursuit of this goal, I transitioned to a coordinator role at a start-up based in Bangalore for single family housing called NVT Quality Lifestyle. Here, I delved deeper into property negotiations, real estate economics, and liaised with clients and legal teams to secure land acquisitions. This experience emphasized the critical need for a comprehensive understanding of affordable housing and real estate economics.

By this realization, I aspire to undertake the MSRE program at the University of Washington in Seattle. The program’s core courses such as Real Estate Finance and Economics, Real Estate Data Modeling, Advance Housing, and electives like Affordable Housing and Real Estate Development will significantly enhance my domain knowledge and provide a well-rounded understanding of the real estate industry.

Beyond my professional pursuits, I am passionate about sports, particularly Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). I have been an active member of my college’s BJJ team, finding immense joy and discipline through sports.
