Career Opportunities
The Bachelor of Science Degree in Real Estate prepares students for careers in real estate finance, asset management, brokerage, urban and real estate development, and housing among many other potential professional career paths.
Students are encouraged to complete an internship or gain work experience during their time at UW, particularly during the summer between their junior and senior year. RE 480: Professional Development Seminar is a required course that allows students to refine their professional projects and prepare them to apply for internships and jobs.
The real estate major can be completed in parallel with other degrees, including in the following fields:

Real Estate Club
The Real Estate Club at the University of Washington provides opportunities for networking, career development, and property tours for students who have an interest in real estate. Jill Bryan is currently a senior majoring in Real Estate with a minor in Business Administration, originally from the Bay Area, California. She enjoys supporting students as a First-Year Interest Group (FIG) Leader instructing first year students in the fall, and informally as a peer in various courses. Jill has a deep love of learning in the classroom and in life, finding great fulfillment in aiding in the growth and success of her peers along the way. She has previously interned in Land Acquisition for Microsoft’s Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) and will be returning as a Real Estate Portfolio Manager upon graduation in June 2025. Outside of her academic pursuits, Jill enjoys traveling, cooking, time with friends, attending sporting events, and spending time on the water. She has also studied abroad in Ireland and is eager to share her experiences about studying abroad and in Runstad with anyone interested!
