Mason Virant currently serves as the Associate Director for the Washington Center for Real Estate Research housed at the University of Washington. The center focuses on generating high quality, value-add real estate research, education services and project-oriented research to real estate licensees, real estate consumers, real estate service providers, institutional customers, public agencies, and communities in Washington State and the Pacific Northwest region.
Early on in his career Mason worked in investment analytics and research as well as product development at PitchBook, a venture capital and private equity research firm. He went on to hold various roles at private wealth management and investment firms in the Seattle area before venturing into the real estate industry. Mason attended Santa Clara University for his undergraduate studies where he focused on finance and computer science. He then went on to receive his Master’s degree in Real Estate from the University of Washington.
