Shanty Wu

Prior to the MSRE program, Shanty worked in the legal field for eight years. Some of her responsibilities have included increasing internal and external sales through public relations, negotiating personal injury claims, and drafting legal documents. She also has business and real estate experience. She has been fascinated by the real estate industry and wants to play a meaningful role in others’ lives. She received her BS in Sustainable Building Science Technology (SBST) from South Seattle College.

As a first-generation college student and daughter of immigrant parents, Shanty understands the importance of volunteering and giving back to her local community. Some of her volunteering endeavors have included being a Mock Trial Coach at Jefferson Community Center, a Cashier/Front Desk at the Swedish (Cherry Hill) Campus, and Operation Manager at El Centro De La Raza Food Bank Seattle.

Shanty enjoys cooking for her friends in her spare time and spend time with her family. She also likes to explore new places.
